I've just registered on this site so I'm passing this along to all alumni. I will add the event to the calendar so if you wish to attend, please contact me as soon as possible so I can get an accurate count of how many will be attending. In the future, we will announce events through alumni newsletters (Sigma News for Delta Tau Chapter and the alumni newsletter for the Gamma Zeta Colony) and possibly The Delta in addition to email and word of mouth. _________________________________________________________________________________
Brothers, Sorry this is a bit late, but as promised, I’m trying to set up a Portland Area Alumni Club and would like to have a “kickoff” meeting / event for all those who are interested. The purpose of this event is to have everyone meet each other, decide on the officers of the club (president, vice-president, and secretary / treasurer at a minimum), and decide what we want the structure of the club to be (i.e. bylaws, etc.). I’ve decided to have this event on Wednesday August 5th @ 6:30 pm at the Deschutes Brewery in downtown Portland (Pearl District). If you are interested, please RSVP to me by Wednesday July 29th at the latest. Also, feel free to invite alumni that are friends of yours that I might not have contacted as I know I’m only making contact with a small portion of Portland area alumni with these emails / messages. Just, be sure to let me know they are coming too. Welcome to the Gamma Zeta Chapter website! This is a place for news and updates on recolonization, important dates for alumni and chapter activities, alumni, chapter, and member information, and much more. This is the center of communication for the Gamma Zeta Chapter and its alumni.
About this website:
This website is actually three websites in one. The first, which you are now at, is the public site which can be viewed by anyone. There are also two private levels: one for alumni, and one for undergraduate members. Access to these private levels is restricted to members only.
Members in the alumni member’s area will be able to utilize each of these features:
- Update profile information
- Create and view alumni photo galleries
- Create and participate in groups/discussion boards
- Post online articles
- Networking, where you can post jobs/internships and/or post your current resume
- Access the alumni and undergraduate database, search profiles by graduation year, city, state, county, etc.
- Receive email reminders and notifications
- Access the private events calendar
- Access alumni files and documents
- Create academic scholarships for undergraduate members
- Connect with other chapters using the same features (message board, networking, etc.)
